Povzetek
Večina ljudi o komunikaciji z gluhimi in naglušnimi razmišlja stereotipno: »Napišeš, pa je.« Vendar to v večini primerov ne zadošča, saj imajo te osebe zelo skromen besedni zaklad in posledično slabo razumejo pisano besedo. Na Zavodu za gluhe in naglušne Ljubljana zato pri poučevanju poleg slovenskega jezika uporabljamo tudi slovenski znakovni jezik, ki je materni jezik večine gluhih in naglušnih dijakov. Slabost slovenskega znakovnega jezika je, da je omejen, še več, kretenj za strokovne izraze večinoma ni. Zato učitelji v sodelovanju z dijaki pogosto kujemo nove kretnje. Ker je učiteljev za posamezna strokovna področja vedno več in ker si želimo, da bi bile kretnje prepoznavne in uporabljane tudi v širši javnosti, se je pojavila potreba po tem, da se te kretnje poenotijo in javno objavijo.
Na Zavodu za gluhe in naglušne Ljubljana poučujemo tudi nekatere gluhe ali naglušne dijake, ki prihajajo iz držav nekdanje Jugoslavije. Ti dijaki pogosto slabo poznajo že jezik države, iz katere izhajajo. Za učinkovitejše poučevanje sva učiteljici računalniških predmetov naredili Slovar računalniških izrazov v slovenskem znakovnem jeziku, ki dijakom pomaga graditi strokovno besedišče, saj so razlage pojmov v slovenskem jeziku tolmačene tudi v znakovni jezik. Izdelava slovarja je pripomogla tudi k poenotenju kretenj, ki jih uporabljamo za strokovne izraze. Slovar se je izkazal uporaben tudi za vse ostale dijake.

Abstract
The majority of people stereotypically and mistakenly believe that communication issues with the deaf can be solved simply by writing things down. However, in most cases that is not sufficient as the deaf and hard-of hearing have a very limited vocabulary and consequently a limited understanding of the written word. That is why at the School for the Deaf Ljubljana in addition to Slovene we also use Slovenian Sign Language, which is the mother tongue of most of our deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Its drawback is that it is limited and furthermore, there are often no signs for subject-specific terminology. Therefore teachers in cooperation with the students often come up with new signs. Since the number of teachers for certain fields is growing and since we wish the signs to be known and used also among the general public, there is a need for the signs to be standardized and shared with the public.
At the School for the Deaf Ljubljana there are also some deaf and hard-of-hearing students coming from the countries of former Yugoslavia. Often these students already have a poor command of the language of the country of their origin. For more efficient teaching the teachers of computer science at the School for the Deaf Ljubljana have created a Dictionary of Computer Science in Slovenian Sign Language, which helps the students acquire the terminology because the explanations of the terms in Slovene are also interpreted into Slovenian Sign Language. The creation of the dictionary has helped standardize the signs used for the subject-specific terminology. The dictionary has also proved useful for all the other students.
