Povzetek
Medtem ko je radio potreboval 38 let, da je dosegel 50 milijonov uporabnikov, je socialno omrežje Facebook doseglo 50 milijonov uporabnikov v devetih mesecih. Veliko ljudi, tudi mladina, uporabljajo socialna omrežja na splošno, med njimi posebno Facebook. Učenje vse bolj postaja združevanje formalnega in neformalnega učenja. Facebook se zelo dobro vključuje v neformalni del izobraževanja. Vse več je specifičnih orodij in razvojnih novosti, ki so realizirani prav v Facebooku. Kljub vsemu bi se morali ravnatelji, starši ter učenci in učitelji zavedati etičnih in deontoloških vidikov uporabe Facebooka v izobraževanju.

Abstract
While the radio needed thirty eight years to reach fifty million users, Facebook had in nine months time fifty million users worldwide. A lot of people and youngsters are using social media in general and Facebook in particular. More and more is learning seen as the combination of formal and informal learning. Facebook suits very well the informal learning part in education. More and more specific tools and developments are realized in Facebook. However teachers, school directors, parents, but also pupils and students should be aware of the ethical and deontological aspects of the use of Facebook in education.
